For L.A.-based Glory, inheriting her Great Aunt Lucille’s Harlem brownstone feels like more of a curse than a blessing. She’s a restless emerging artist struggling to find gallery representation and she doesn’t have the money or time to look after the house of a relative she hardly knew. But the inheritance starts to look more promising when it leads Glory to Parkie de Groot, a savvy, ambitious auction house appraiser on the verge of a coveted promotion if she plays her cards right. Glory and Parkie form an unlikely alliance as they work together to unearth the origins of a rare manuscript hidden in the brownstone’s attic.  

That growing intimacy is tested, however, when Glory and Parkie start keeping secrets from each other, threatening the promise of a relationship and their ability to bring to light the mysteries of the brownstone, Harlem’s queer history, and the women before them who made their love affair possible.
